The Face That Launched A Thousand Ships?
Hot out of the kiln here are 2 Glorious Face Plates(Blue and Lilac) and a Wonderful Face Vase that Mary Rose made last week. You may notice a slight variation in the face colour technique… each one here is principally two shades of the same colour… making each piece even more identifiable as, say, “blue” or “green”, which reminds one that each colour on a face is supposed to define a changing mood. Green for Envy, Blue for Sadness and perhaps Purple for Rage? The surprising thing is that all of these “colour moods” do actually happen – Ohio State University found that each mood really does affect blood flow to the face making it look a different colour….thus there really is just a tinge of green when we’re jealous
