New Pressed Flower Design
We can remember when pressed flowers were a “thing”. In the days before techno toys we would collect flowers and preserve them flat within tissue paper lined books. In Mary Rose’s Pressed Flower design the blooms have that isolated look of a solitary preserved flower but they are brightly coloured and bulging with vigour. They shine out from a pale mother of pearl background and for once we are seeing an entire flower and not just the sprawling colour of the bloom spreading across the piece. The effect is mischievously classical! She’s made some vases, an egg cup, a mug and a teapot which are all available on our website.
