Mary Rose in the News!
In June we were talking to a freelance journalist who was keen to run a story about Mary Rose’s colourful home…it seemed like a fairly unexciting prospect at the time, but it became rather popular in just a few days and we wanted to make sure you had all seen it! It started life in one British Newspaper The Sun on Thursday, then the Mirror, then Ladbible, then The New York Post and another UK paper called the Metro. We think that it caught people’s eyes because the headline suggests that a very headstrong Mary Rose has ruined her home with colour….apparently this makes people Click (“Click-Bait”) and they then realise how far from a disaster her house really is. Some of the stories go as far as to suggest that her husband Phil and the family (what family?) wanted her to paint the place in pale colours which is of course just fantasy.
