New Year…New Vase
Our last newsletter in November featured a photo of Mary Rose’s new “Gondola Bowl” with its curvy shape, beaded rim and face design. One customer was so enthusiastic about the bowl that she asked for a vase in the same theme. Clearly that request is slightly easier said than done…the spirit of the piece somehow had to be transferred over to a completely different entity. But here is the rather fabulous result….there is nothing Gondola Like about it, indeed it’s hard to write down exactly what they might have in common as whether they do or they don’t is only in the mind of the beholder. We have a striking new piece from Mary Rose’s fingertips. I found myself reminded of one of the Queens in the Disney Fairy Tale Cartoons…. We will call it a Gondola Vase until a better name appears
