The Mighty Rose
It’s such a great name… it is a reinvention of her rose design that Mary Rose thought would look particularly good on plates and bowls…the coloured outer has dots and gold and contrasts with the background colour of the centre. This piece is in fact a Giant Platter fully 16 inches diameter. A rose of course appears in so many dinnerware designs but usually as a spray or a bouquet or at least a cluster of some kind. Mary Rose’s affinity with this flower has given her license to celebrate it by amplifying and presenting just one giant rose
