And It Was All Yellow
There’s a new Yellow in the colour department here at the pottery. Maybe its most prominent appeal is how unlikely a ceramic colour it is…usually one expects a typical warm Cornflower Yellow to be painted onto a piece of pottery but this one belongs in a more fluorescent group of colours that are usually so challenging for Ceramic Colour Merchants to invent. It creates a particularly striking dynamic when contrasting with other colours on this rose studded serving bowl…and it’s a colour Mary Rose is particularly keen on at the moment. Its given name is a bit more difficult – Acid Yellow or Citrus Yellow somehow don’t sound “appealing”….for the moment we can call it New Yellow
