The Wedding Present
My eldest daughter Cecilia got married last month, and here she is walking down the aisle with her proud father. She looks stunning. Despite our mad March weather it was a beautifully sunny day, there were more than 150 guests, and after the harsh winter, how better to christen the season of 23. The colours Cecilia chose for the wedding were blue and lilac, and they featured on everything from the invitations to the table settings. You might see I’m in a blue suit but you can’t see the bridesmaids in their lilac dresses. Just a few days before Auntie Mary Rose had set about making her wedding gift to the happy couple, and she decided to work with Cecilia’s colours in a rosebush design. So it’s not just a wedding gift but an eternal souvenir of the day itself; and it was such a great idea building the design around the wedding theme colours that I thought we should remind everybody that Mary Rose can provide this service. One rather important person has been left out so far….Cecilia’s husband is Michael, a fine Cornish gentleman who is extremely good looking even though our one photo doesn’t show him
